Avalon has grown over the years from our headquarters in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to include offices in the New York area and Portland, Oregon. Though these geographies couldn’t be more different, all three are situated on the banks of some of America’s most beautiful rivers — the Rio Grande in Santa Fe, the Hudson in New York and the Willamette and Columbia Rivers in Portland.  

 

These cities would not be thriving without the resources and infrastructure provided by these waterways. At Avalon we see these rivers as a spectacular confluence of nature and commerce, coming together to build economies and communities where we and our clients live and work.  

 

We have commissioned the photographer Victoria Sambunaris to illustrate this intersection of place and business in the following pages — to record the natural and man-made beauty of the cities we call home.
