Dick was a founding partner of Account Management, an investment advisory firm in Boston, Massachusetts, where for over 40 years he researched and managed portfolios that invested in small public companies not closely covered by Wall Street firms. Over the years he was a director of numerous private and public companies including Skinner Auction House, a leading full-service auctioneer and appraiser of antiques and fine art. He served on the boards of various charitable organizations and especially enjoyed those causes devoted to the arts. Dick received his bachelor's degree from Yale University and MBA from Harvard University.
To us at Avalon he was a good friend, mentor, and advisor. He chaired our advisory board for more than a decade and was instrumental in the considerable growth of our firm. We miss his wisdom, advice, and sense of humor.
