Ariel joined Avalon in mid-2014 after earning his MBA with a concentration in Finance at UNM’s Anderson School of Management. He identifies new investment opportunities, monitors existing holdings and provides quantitative analysis for Avalon’s investment committee. He also collaborates with the Avalon team to construct and manage our clients' portfolios. Prior to finishing graduate school, Ariel performed financial analysis for Cottonwood Technology Fund, a venture capital firm, after a few years abroad, starting in Argentina where he attained fluency in Spanish, followed by a year in Germany as an English instructor to corporate executives. Ariel also serves on the Endowment Advisory Committee for the Friends of the Santa Fe Public Library.

Ariel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature from the University of British Columbia. He is a member of the CFA Institute.
