Chris wears multiple hats at Avalon, conducting investment research for our investment committee while collaborating with the Avalon team to construct and manage our clients' portfolios. He identifies new investment opportunities, conducts quantitative analysis and monitors Avalon's top holdings. In addition to his work at Avalon, Chris is the Chairman of the Endowment Advisory Committee for the Friends of the Santa Fe Public Library. Additionally, he serves on the Investment Committee at the University of New Mexico Foundation.

 

Before joining Avalon in 2010, Chris worked in the investment industry for 11 years, starting with AIM Investments in 1999, followed by Beekman Capital, an institutional growth stock manager based in Santa Fe. At Beekman, as a senior analyst Chris had primary responsibility for leading the company's investment research effort. Chris holds an MBA from the University of Texas as well as a B.S. in Biology from the University of Houston. He is a member of the CFA Institute.
